On Tuesday, Nov. 19, the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners elected Krista Joseph, District 4, to serve as chair and Clay Murphy, District 3, to serve as vice chair during a special reorganizational meeting of the board. Both will serve one-year terms in those roles.
“I’m excited to be representing the people of St. Johns County going forward,” said Joseph. “I’m going to be listening, and I would like to have a positive golden era of St. Johns County for this next year.”
During the meeting, a ceremonial oath of office for new commissioners was conducted. Judge Lauren Blocker administered the oath of office to Commissioner Christian Whitehurst, while Judge Charles Tinlin administered the oath to Murphy and Commissioner Ann Taylor.
