Comcast Business, a division of Comcast Cable that provides high-performance network services, supported the Jacksonville and military communities during THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass.
This year, Comcast Business partnered with THE PLAYERS to surprise students. Fifty Duval County students got the opportunity to visit The PGA TOUR Global Home and spent the day exploring careers and networking.
However, they didn’t know that they would each get to take a new laptop home with them at the end of the day. Samuel Waltzer, Comcast’s senior manager of government affairs in Northeast Florida, announced the exciting news that Comcast Business would gift each student a new laptop to support them on their education and future career journeys.
Comcast Business also helped host military moms at Operation Shower on Sunday, March 8. Operation Shower, an event that celebrates military moms and moms-to-be, showered 40 moms with gifts and a beautiful, golf-themed baby shower. Comcast Business donated a new laptop to each mom to show their gratitude and support and to help moms stay better connected with loved ones.
Operation New Uniform helps service members and veterans find new careers in the business world. Comcast Business donated $25,000 to this Charity of the Day in appreciation for service members and veterans and for all they do.
Comcast Business has been one of THE PLAYERS partners since 2024 and continues to give back to the community and to those who have sacrificed much.
