Butterfield Garage Art Gallery invites artists of all ages and abilities to create a piece of art inspired by nature in the gallery’s community-wide invitational exhibition titled “Flora & Fungi.”
What inspires you? Is it the tender beauty and color we see in flowers or the fascinating hidden kingdom of fungi? Perhaps it’s a flower that reminds you of someone special, a beautiful bouquet, your favorite houseplant or the magic of discovering a newborn mushroom after a rain. Be creative as you like in your interpretation.
Anyone (any age, ability or background) can participate. The entry fee of $10 per entry includes an 8 inch by 8 inch canvas. Canvases and entry forms can be picked up at Butterfield Garage Art Gallery located at 137 King St., St. Augustine. The gallery is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.
All entries must be received at Butterfield Garage Art Gallery no later than Sunday, April 26. The opening reception for the exhibition will take place on Friday, May 1, and the exhibition will continue through May 31.
