Can you please briefly tell us about your background?

My years of living in beautiful areas around the U.S. while growing up in Ohio, New York, California, New Jersey and Florida has sparked my interests and curiosity about people and surroundings. A student of life with an intense love of people and animals, nature.  I’ve been a Rotary member since the 1980s in Tampa Bay, Jacksonville and St. Augustine and subscribe to the service organization’s motto, Service Above Self.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Working with all types of people. As a professional publicist since the 1970s, I join together clients and news contacts for story consideration throughout the U.S. and Canada. I love to hear people’s stories and share positivity. Showing kindness, care, love and understanding is key to work. Specifically in our region, working with St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce and sharing the organization’s goals, values and mission along with meeting and working with great members and staff. My tourism, hospitality, environmental, construction, real estate and healthcare clients along with nonprofits are important to me, especially helping the underserved in Northeast Florida, and beyond.

What are some of the challenges that your industry/company is facing?

Since the beginning of my career, educating people about the importance of their stories to help others in professional and personal development. The words we choose and ability to communicate effectively in an intelligent manner helps us succeed in our day-to- day life, in the workplace and at home. I strive to build up and edify, not operate in the negative, and to always show compassion and empathy.

What are your primary roles and responsibilities?

Listening is number one. Then, taking information and helping to create cohesive, succinct messaging in writing while sharing stories with news contacts in small towns to big cities.

What do you enjoy most about living in Ponte Vedra area?

As a downtown St. Augustine resident in the historic district, I spend a lot of time enjoying the beautiful City and tending to my nearly 100-year-old home and garden. Very active in civic and social causes here. Love the water, nature, artistry, wellness and music all around the area.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Very dedicated to the care and well-being of my 93-year-old mom, she’s a rock star! Follow her personal philosophy that love, caring and compassion conquers all. Volunteer as a member of Rotary Club of St. Augustine, serve as an active board member for St. Augustine Humane Society and Art with a Heart in Healthcare. Enjoy providing these organizations with pro bono writing, editing and proofreading, and public relations services. I deeply love my family, friends, St. Augustine. To be inspired intellectually and spiritually is key.
