Bluebird Kids Health opens new Jacksonville clinic

Bluebird Kids Health opened a new pediatric clinic in Jacksonville on July 2, expanding access to modern, affordable care for local families.

The clinic is part of Bluebird’s growing network aimed at solving the pediatric care shortage in underserved communities. Their model blends in-person visits with tech-enabled tools to streamline care and reduce wait times — something many families are struggling with right now.

Roughly half of children in the United States are enrolled in Medicaid and struggle to get appointments with doctors, often because those providers don’t accept Medicaid or have located their practices far from low-income neighborhoods — creating “pediatric care deserts.” Bluebird Kids is addressing this disparity by building pediatric practices in access-starved neighborhoods, using a modern, tech-enabled approach to care delivery and implementing a high-performing model built specifically for pediatrics and value-based care.

“Our goal is to become part of the fabric of the community here in Jacksonville. We want to make sure that all children can thrive,” said Bluebird Kids Health CEO and Founder Chris Johnson.

Bluebird Kids Health already cares for 25,000 children in Palm Beach County.

The Jacksonville location will serve thousands of local children and families, with an emphasis on preventive care, mental health support and easy access to same-day appointments.

The clinic is located at 6855 Wilson Blvd., Suite 2, Jacksonville. The phone number is 904-780-2100. For more information, go to https://www.bluebirdkids.com/

An additional office is scheduled to open later this summer at 5000-3 Norwood Ave. (Gateway Plaza) in Brentwood area of North Jacksonville.
