Farhat named Nemours chief of urology, vice chair of surgery
Nemours Children’s Health has announced Walid A. Farhat, M.D., as division chief of urology, and vice chair of the Department of Surgery, for Nemours Children’s Health, Jacksonville.

Farhat is an internationally recognized pediatric urologist with more than two decades of experience advancing minimally invasive surgery, complex congenital urologic care and outcomes driven pediatric urology. He has authored more than 260 peer reviewed publications, contributed to more than 25 book chapters and co edited foundational texts in pediatric urology, bioengineering and surgical innovation.
A primary focus of Farhat’s work has been the care of children with bowel and bladder dysfunction, where he helped establish standardized clinical assessment tools, multidisciplinary care pathways and population level approaches to care. His research highlights the interaction between congenital urologic conditions, chronic symptoms, psychosocial factors and long term quality of life, advancing a more integrated and family centered model of pediatric urology.

Liantonio most recently served as chief executive officer of Wrist Ship Supply’s North and Central America regions. Wrist Ship Supply is the world’s largest global marine supply company, supplying food and non-food products to all maritime vessels, cruise ships and the offshore oil and gas industry.

WJCT Public Media appoints Cirillo interim president, CEO
Geri Cirillo has been appointed interim president and CEO of WJCT Public Media. Her selection was unanimously approved by the organization’s Board of Trustees.
Cirillo has held various leadership roles at WJCT Public Media through a career spanning more than 30 years, most recently as senior vice president and chief operating officer. Her appointment follows the retirement of David McGowan as president and CEO on April 17.
Cirillo’s selection ensures consistency in the organization’s executive team. Together with Editorial Director Jessica Palombo and Vice President of Development Sarah Dobson, Cirillo will continue to grow the organization’s multi-platform reach and community-focused programming.
