Beaches Go Green recently held a training event for more than 120 student club officers, teachers and parent liaisons representing 18 schools in Duval and St. Johns counties. Attendees discussed leadership, club roles and events and learned about the impact of environmental toxins on human health and the health of the planet. The event included clean, locally sourced food, reusable and renewable/compostable products. Use of the Hanna Park venue in Atlantic Beach was donated by the City of Jacksonville.
