Beaches Council on Aging has recognized a $25,000 contribution from Elderly Housing Management Corporation (EHMC) to support the long-term sustainability of its Dial-A-Ride program, which provides reliable transportation for seniors and individuals with disabilities throughout the Jacksonville Beaches community.
The contribution reflects Elderly Housing Management Corp.’s commitment to helping older adults remain independent and connected to their community. As the nonprofit managing agent of Pablo Towers and Pablo Hamlet, EHMC’s Board of Directors approved the gift in recognition of the vital role Dial-A-Ride plays for its residents and older adults throughout the Beaches community. By investing in the Beaches Council on Aging Endowment Fund, EHMC is helping strengthen the long-term sustainability of the program for future generations.
“Transportation is one of the most essential services for older adults who wish to age in place,” said Lori Anderson, executive director of Beaches Council on Aging. “This generous investment from Elderly Housing Management Corporation strengthens the future of Dial-A-Ride, helping ensure we can continue connecting seniors to medical appointments, grocery stores, social activities and other essential destinations. We are incredibly grateful for their partnership and commitment to our mission.”
As the population of older adults continues to grow, access to reliable transportation has become increasingly important for helping seniors remain healthy, engaged and independent. The Beaches Council on Aging Endowment Fund was established to provide long-term financial support for Dial-A-Ride, ensuring the program can continue serving current and future generations throughout the Jacksonville Beaches community.
