Don’t tell Lana McAra you don’t have time to write. The award-winning author wrote her first 27 books while homeschooling her seven — yes, seven — children. She will share practical advice on time management for writers at the Ponte Vedra Writers meeting at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.
The prolific writer has gone on to write more than 40 titles and will talk about getting focused to write more in her presentation “How to Get Your Book Done When You’re the Busiest Person You Know.” She will offer advice on finding the ideal time to write, eliminating “time vampires” in your schedule and accomplishing more in less time.
Along with writing novels, McAra works as a book coach, editor and ghostwriter. Writing as Rosey Dow, she won the Christy Award for “Reaping the Whirlwind,” and her cozy mystery series, “Colorado,” sold more than 250,000 copies.
The Ponte Vedra Writers group is part of the Florida Writers Association, a statewide membership organization dedicated to the support of both aspiring and published writers in any genre. The Jan. 25 meeting is free and open to members and nonmembers alike.
