The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island will host the 4th Annual Amelia Island Cookout, a four-day celebration of food, wine and community. On Oct. 15-18, guests can look forward to a luxurious getaway of culinary discovery hosted by chefs, pitmasters, mixologists, sommeliers and epicureans.

The cookout is led by Chef de Cuisine Okan Kizibayir of the Ritz-Carlton’s Michelin-recommended Salt Restaurant. The immersive culinary festival invites guests to engage with talented chefs from around the country through curated tastings, demonstrations and intimate dining moments.

The cookout isn’t a single event, but a collaboration featuring 19 district experiences across the resort and island.

The Cookout Kickoff on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 5 p.m., will start the weekend strong with a special nationally acclaimed chefs’ meet-and-greet in the historic downtown district. There will be delicious, curated charcuterie, fine wines and champagne at the award-winning Marché Cotier. After the Cookout Kickoff, there will be kickoff dinners at David’s Restaurant and Lagniappe Restaurant followed by Cigars & Port.

Friday, Oct. 16, begins with Cast to Table: A Chef-led Angling Experience. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., guests can arrive at the marina for the opportunity to join chefs aboard private fishing boats for a morning on the water. The friendly competition is followed by a coastal-inspired lunch break at the resort. Friday offers a host of exciting culinary experiences including two expert chef demonstrations. The second day of culinary delights concludes with “Friday After Glow,” an exclusive bar takeover by a legendary bartender at Tidewater Grill. It’s an excellent opportunity to mingle with chefs and enjoy a cash bar featuring craft cocktails and light bites.

Saturday, Oct. 17, starts at 9 a.m. with Chef’s Court at Mouratoglou Tennis Court at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. The afternoon has a variety of delicious culinary events, including Chef’s Mid-Day Soiree, Cookbook & Chef Conversation at Story & Song, Bourbon & Chocolate Seminar, The Amelia Island Oceanfront Cookout and Saturday After Glow.

The Amelia Island Oceanfront Cookout, from 5 to 9 p.m., is an iconic highlight of the day. Extraordinary chefs cook some of their favorite dishes by the sea. Guests will get to mingle with chefs and beverage experts while they savor sizzling seafood, grilled and slow-roasted meats and an excellent selection of wine, cocktails and desserts.

The festivities are far from over on Sunday, Oct. 18. The day begins with a Chef’s Demonstration & Breakfast from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Salt Restaurant. This informal breakfast with chef features an eggs-and-truffles showcase. The day’s events include a Mystery Destination Lunch, Chef’s Demonstration, Backyard BBQ & Oyster Roast and Master Chef’s Gala Dinner. The weekend concludes with an intimate courtyard dinner at the Ritz-Carlton Courtyard. From 7 to 9 p.m., an acclaimed chef will prepare a bespoke, multi-course meal for an exclusive group of 12 guests.
