Bartram Trail Bears

The Bartram Trail Bears are off to a good start this season with a current record of 2-0.

On Aug. 21, the Bears won their home opener against the Tocoi Creek Toros 37-3.

Blake Soares turned in a strong performance for the Bears rushing for 111 yards and one touchdown. Sophomore quarterback Xander Camus also had a good night for the Bears, throwing for 113 yards and two touchdowns.

Bartram Trail finished the game with 243 yards on the ground.

On Aug. 28, the Bears defeated the Middleburg Broncos 23-12.

Soares rushed for 121 yards, and Camus rushed for 41 yards and one touchdown. The Bears defense had three sacks in the game.

The Bears will return home on Friday, Sept. 4, to take on the Bishop Kenny Crusaders at 7 p.m.

Fletcher Senators

The Fletcher Senators have a current record of 1-1.

The Senators opened their season with a win over the Sandalwood Mighty Saints with a final score of 49-21.

Jahmyri Jennings had a strong game for Fletcher, rushing for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Jennings also picked up 47 receiving yards. Senior quarterback Ty Keister also had a good game for the Senators, throwing for 183 yards and three touchdowns. Fletcher finished the game with 361 yards on the ground.

On Aug. 28, the Senators lost a close game to the Plant City Raiders with a final score of 27-25. Keister threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns in the game. Senior running back Chase Durden had a strong performance for the Senators, picking up 87 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Fletcher will be at home on Friday, Sept. 4, against the Creekside Knights.

Providence School Stallions

The Providence School Stallions have had a bumpy start to the season with a current record of 0-2.

On Aug. 21, the Stallions lost to the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles, 42-6.

Despite the loss, the Stallions were able to get two interceptions in the books.

On Aug. 28, the Stallions lost to the Umatilla Bulldogs 26-13.

The Stallions will look to rebound on the road this Friday, Sept. 4, against the Eagles View Warriors.
