Unique U.S. musical group Letters From Home performed for more than 85 St. Augustinians of all ages at Silver Creek Senior Living Community on Thursday, Jan. 24.

The USO (United Service Organization)-style show honored the sacrifices of veterans and the generations that supported them and featured music and dancing from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.

“Silver Creek was proud to host such a heart-warming event that celebrated history and music and brought the St. Augustine community together for great entertainment, food and fun,” said Jill Hecker, director of sales and marketing at Silver Creek. “The community enjoyed Letters From Home so much, we’re already planning to invite the show back.”

Letters From Home, a music and dance trio, travels the country, honoring veterans, active military heroes and their families with the goal of reviving patriotism through music.

“I truly feel I could never say thank you enough to these true American heroes,” said Erinn Dearth, director, creator and choreographer of Letters From Home. “These incredible men and women are the reason we are free today. We have been honored to bring back happy memories and touch lives in a way that words alone cannot express.”

Silver Creek is an independent concierge living, assisted living, memory support and short-term respite care community in St. Augustine that promotes lifelong wellness, enrichment and a peace of mind.
