St. Paul’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church is offering the following events over the next several weeks:
· Regular service schedule:
o Wednesday: 10:30 a.m. Eucharist
o Sunday: 7:30 a.m. Contemplative Eucharist (no music); 10 a.m. Eucharist; 11:30 a.m. Sandals, Shorts and Steel Drum Service
· Yoga
o People are encouraged to grab a mat and come to the church every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. for yoga. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
· Civil Dialogue: A Habit of the Heart
o Rev. Louanne Loch has invited UNF Professor Rev. Gregg Kaufman of the Kettering Foundation to facilitate conversation over complex societal issues. The conversation will be held on Oct. 3, 10 and 17 at 6 p.m. in the Parish Hall (1150 5th St. North, Jacksonville Beach). Heavy snacks will be provided.
· Lunch and Learn: Infection Protection
o October's Lunch and Learn on Oct. 2 at 11:30 a.m. focuses on “Infection Protection.” With cold and flu season approaching, the session will cover ways to prevent infections, including when to receive immunizations. Guests are encouraged to bring a lunch to the Christopher Lobby (465 11th Ave. North, Jacksonville Beach).
· Pet blessing
o The church’s annual Blessing of the Pets service will be held on Oct. 7 at 7:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. in celebration of St. Francis. Attendees are asked to crate any pets who are not on a leash.
