The following St. Johns County Council on Aging (COA) events are soon taking place at the River House in St. Augustine, which is located at 179 Marine St, and elsewhere. Hours of operation there are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to noon on Friday.
Dinner and a Movie
Join moviegoers the third Thursday of each month at River House. The movie begins promptly at 4:30 p.m. Cost is $15 for River House members and $20 for non-members. In addition to dinner, guests will receive a soft drink and popcorn. Beer and wine are available at an additional cost. Advanced payment and registration are required. Senior Singles Group
Join local seniors for food and fun conversation the first Tuesday of each month at various restaurants.

River House Book Club
Join the COA at River House from 3 to 4 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month. Joining a book club is a great way to be consistent in your reading, delve deeper into books and make some great friends. This group is complimentary and made possible by the St. Johns County public library bookmobile.

New! Tech Tuesdays for iPhone and iPad
Join the COA for Tech Tuesdays that focus exclusively on iPhones and iPads with instructor Kai Long. Classes will be held at River House from 1 to 2 p.m. every Tuesday. Winter Wonderland Dance Show
Join the COA at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13 at River House for the annual holiday dance show featuring the River House Dancers. The COA’s dancers and instructors are proud to showcase their skills in this complimentary program. The River House Café will have a $10 lunch buffet available after the show. Genealogy
Join the COA at River House for a six-week course to begin the journey into researching your family’s history. You will learn the tips and tricks to enable you to navigate the many branches of your family tree. Call (904) 209-3655 for your reservation. The cost is $30 for River House members and $35 for non-members. Classes are held on Tuesdays beginning Jan. 8 to Feb. 12 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
