The Spa at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, which has been identified by Forbes Travel Guide, Conde Nast Traveler and Zagat as the “spa of choice” in Northeast Florida, has added a new treatment to its list of offerings: whole-body cryotherapy, powered by Impact Cryotherapy.

“We work diligently to maintain our place in the market as a premier luxury spa destination,” Spa Director Melissa Deese said. “We chose Impact based on online reviews and current users. It also impressed us that their cryotherapy chambers are manufactured in the United States.”

Whole-body cryotherapy is a cold therapy modality where users stand for three minutes in a “cryosauna” filled with nitrogen vapor that drops to temperatures from minus 90 to minus 120 degrees Celsius. The treatment helps with athletic recovery and overall wellness, and is also leveraged by fitness and wellness entrepreneurs as a revenue-generating service to retain and attract members.

“Whole body cryotherapy makes perfect sense in the luxury spa market,” said Richard Otto, CEO of Impact Cryotherapy. “Our state-of-the-art cryosaunas fit into a small footprint, are energy efficient and well-designed and ultimately provide a high-end wellness experience spa guests seek during their stay.”
