Teens’ Peanut Butter Drive meets critical need

Posted

Connor and Kelland Franco of Ponte Vedra Beach have organized their ninth Peanut Butter Drive and are collecting until Nov. 8.

The Peanut Butter Drive started when the boys were in fourth and second grades. Peanut Butter has always been the boys’ favorite food, so when they approached the local food bank to ask how they could help with food insecurity and the food bank suggested collecting peanut butter, it was a perfect match.

When Connor was a freshman in high school, they partnered with SAYS (St. Augustine Youth Services) and later Epic-Cure, both organizations in St. Augustine.

Connor is now a sophomore in college and Kelland a senior in high school so this will be their final drive. All donations will go to SAYS and Epic-Cure. All nut and non-nut butters are welcome. Donations can be dropped off at the Franco home, 3072 Cypress Creek Drive North. Contact Noelle 904-386-6531 for drop-off information or any questions.

Cash donations are also being accepted; Venmo Kelland @Kelland-Franco.
