Sing Out Loud Festival ‘Francis Field Showcase’ welcomes big names in music

The Sing Out Loud Festival “Francis Field Showcase” will feature some big name acts during the event in September. The showcase is one part of the larger Sing Out Loud Festival.

The two-day festival, which will be held Sept. 22 and 23 at Francis Field in downtown St. Augustine, offers only two-day tickets, including general admission for $235 each, general admission+ for $395 each, and platinum for $760 each.

Tickets went on sale to the general public on Friday, May 10, and are available online only.

On Sept. 22, the Francis Field Showcase will welcome headliners The Black Keys, a Grammy Award-winning American rock duo consisting of band members Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney. The Black Keys are known for songs like “Tighten Up,” “Lonely Boy,” “Howlin’ for You” and “Fever.” Other performers for that night include indie rock band Lord Huron, English singer-songwriter Yola and country music duo War Hippies.

On Sept. 23, the Francis Field Showcase will welcome headliners Mumford & Sons, a British folk rock band founded in London in 2007 and consisting of band members Marcus Mumford, Ted Dwayne and Ben Lovett. Mumford & Sons are known for tunes like “I Will Wait,” “Little Lion Man,” “The Cave” and “Hopeless Wanderer.” Other musicians that will take the stage that Saturday night include American singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers, blues rock musician Elle King, folk soul-rocker Amos Lee and Southern songwriter S.G. Goodman.

Introduced in 2016, Sing Out Loud Festival is an annual celebration of live music throughout Florida’s Historic Coast. Over multiple weekends in September, dozens of musical genres and more than 100 local, regional and national artists play a mix of free and ticketed shows at venues around the area.

The festival is produced by St. Johns County Cultural Events, which curates and operates The St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in partnership with the St. Johns County Tourist Development Council.

Guided by its core values of music, community and philanthropy, Sing Out Loud Festival has welcomed more than 1,300 musicians from around the world while raising more than $300,000 for local nonprofit organizations.

“Francis Field Showcase” general admission tickets allow entry into the two-day event. They include free water refill stations throughout festival grounds; a wide variety of local food options for purchase; full-service bars with beer, wine and cocktails for purchase; and official band merch, festival merch and specialty items for purchase.

General admission+ tickets are $395 allow entry into the two-day Francis Field Showcase and everything that is included with general admission tickets as well as the following: early entry into festival grounds; unlimited access to the air-conditioned lounge with full bar service featuring beer, wine and cocktails for purchase; air-conditioned restrooms; festival water bottle and tote; Fast Lane access at all general admission bars; and complimentary charging stations.

Platinum tickets allow entry into the two-day festival and everything that is included with general admission+ tickets as well as a prime platform viewing area, unlimited access to the air-conditioned platinum lounge with full bar service and food for purchase and commemorative laminate.

Touted as “St. Augustine’s Official Month of Music,” September's Sing Out Loud Festival has been popular with residents and visitors alike with month-long festivities centered around live music. This annual event welcomes hundreds of local, regional and national musicians to Florida’s Historic Coast for multiple weekends filled with great tunes and community gatherings.
