The Sheraton Jacksonville Hotel is hosting the third annual “Mutts and Mimosas” event on Saturday, June 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
To be held on the patio of the hotel, the event will feature a brunch buffet, mimosas, live music and a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting the Friends of Jacksonville Animals. This organization works directly with Jacksonville's Animal Care and Protective Services to benefit the lives of shelter animals by focusing on fundraising to assist with medical care, enrich the shelter environment and promote adoptions to reduce euthanasia.
Friends of Jacksonville Animals will accept the following donations on behalf of the shelter on the day of the event: canned dog food, canned cat food, spray cheese, Velvetta cheese blocks, Pup-Peroni soft dog treats, Milk Bones dog treats, medium and large Kongs and medium and large snap dog collars.
Mutts & Mimosas hotel packages are available, including a one-night stay on June 15 and two tickets to the event on June 16 that include brunch and bottomless mimosas.
