The Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach and the Ponte Vedra Recorder are seeking nominations for the 26th Annual “Local Heroes Awards.”
Presented each spring, the Local Heroes Awards recognize individuals who give back to the community and reflect the spirit of the Rotary Club’s motto, “Service Above Self.” Suggested categories for a person who might be nominated include community service in the arts, education, the environment, vocational service, volunteerism and corporate community service. A youth category recognizes young people making a difference in the community.
Residents who know of an individual they believe is deserving of recognition as a “Local Hero” are encouraged to complete the nomination form on this page and email it to lksmith59@yahoo.com. Nomination forms may also be mailed to: Local Heroes Awards Committee, Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach, PO Box 70, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32004. The deadline for submission of nominations is May 14.
Award recipients will be recognized at the “Local Heroes Awards” reception to be held Thursday, May 24 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Marsh Landing Country Club.
