The next Sundays At Stetson’s concert will feature Florida-based folk icon Rod MacDonald on April 2. This will be an outdoor concert, so no reservations required. Music starts at 2 p.m. The location is 1523 State Road 13, Fruit Cove. A donation of $10 per person is requested.

In the event of unfavorable weather the concert will be moved indoors where seating is limited to 45. No reservations, first come first served.
MacDonald was born in Connecticut and began singing professionally in New York City neighborhood coffeehouses and Greenwich Village clubs in the 1980s, recording 21 songs now in the Smithsonian Folkways collection, such as “American Jerusalem,” “A Sailor’s Prayer,” “Every Living Thing” and “White Buffalo.”
Now living in South Florida, his songs on ecology, natural environment, social changes, romance and family life as a late-blooming parent have landed him on New Times’ “Ten Greatest South Florida Folksingers Of All Time” and The Palm Beach Post’s “Ten Magnificent Musicians of Palm Beach County” lists.

Monthly Sundays at Stetson’s events are free, though a $10 donation is recommended. Concerts are 2-4 p.m. and are held at Beluthahatchee Park.
The park opens at 1 p.m. with tours of Stetson Kennedy’s house and museum before and after the concert. Space is limited and reservations are required. To make reservations or get more information call 904-206-8304.
