Power Tee installs unit at Naval Station Mayport

Ponte Vedra-based Power Tee recently announced the installation of six of its automated teeing units at Windy Harbor Golf Club, which is situated on Naval Station Mayport.

“I absolutely loved Power Tee from the very first time I saw it and knew that our golfers would too,” Windy Harbor golf professional Jon Fine said. “Most importantly, I could see that Power Tee would increase engagement with the range for a lot of people who did not previously use it. Looking forward to building programming around the Power Tee.”

Power Tee CEO Martin Wyeth said he was happy to meet with Fine and his colleague — Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Director for Mayport Lee Bell — to discuss bringing the benefits of Power Tee to the naval base.

“We already work closely with three U.S. Air Force golf facilities and are soon to install at our fourth,” Wyeth said. “We take huge pride in supporting the servicemen and women of the U.S.A. and benefit from the expertise of ex-servicemen on our own team here at Power Tee.

“Typically, working with government organizations is a slow process, but within a month of meeting with Jon and Lee we had installed the six Power Tee units at their range,” Wyeth added. “Their golfers are loving them, and we are particularly happy to have the customer right here on our doorstep.”
