The Ponte Vedra boys lacrosse team won its eighth straight district title last Thursday, April 19, after beating Nease in convincing fashion, 15-2.
Jack Burke led the team in scoring with five goals, while Cam Welch added three and Jack Dowd added two. In the net, Wyatt Schupler made 13 saves.
According to the team’s website, the Sharks finished the regular season 14-5, and start regional playoffs this week, with a first round matchup with Fletcher slated for Friday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. The game will be played at Fletcher. The team is attempting to advance to the state’s final four for the seventh time.
