One of the biggest classic rock-and-roll musicals will take the stage April 18-22 at Ponte Vedra High School. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at www.PVHSDAB.com.

“Grease,” is the classic rock-and-roll musical production that was adapted to film in 1978 starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. The production follows working class teenagers (The Palace Burger Boys and The Pink Ladies) as they are challenged with peer pressure, personal values and love in 1959 Rydell High School.

The Ponte Vedra High School theatre series continues to raise the bar for itself as its audience grows.  Under the leadership of Jason Nettle, community attendance has grown significantly over the past several years with productions such as “White Christmas,” “Romeo & Juliet” and “Les Misérables,” to name a few.

The Pink Ladies will be played by Claira Williams as Sandy, Bella Rocha as Rizzo, Victoria Wolker-Kraljic as Jan, Maia Rogerson as Marty and Sierra Schnabel as Frenchie. The Palace Burger Boys will be played by Charlie Pennella as Danny, Logan Knight as Doody, Ryan Kelley as Kenichie, Colby Ryzcko as Roger and Cairo Maughan as Sonny. The overall cast of more than 120 have been working on- and off-stage to bring together a memorable experience.

“We are grateful for the community’s support that has helped to fund the production and proud of all the work that the actors and stage crew have put in to making this a very special event,” said Erika Williams, president of the Dramatic Arts Booster (DAB).
