With the St. Johns County Courthouse Annex to be purchased by the PGA Tour for its new headquarters, the Ponte Vedra Beach branch of the St. Johns County Tax Collector’s Office will soon begin transitioning into a new home as well. According to county officials, however, no interruption of services is anticipated throughout the duration of that process.

“The sale closing on the annex is going to occur sometime between June and July,” county spokeswoman Sarah Hand advised. “The Tax Collector’s Office will remain in that facility up to 18 months as the new facility is being renovated, so at this time, they’re not looking at any gap in services.”

To be located at 151 Sawgrass Corners Drive, the new facility will be less than a mile from the branch’s current location at 5430 Palm Valley Road.

“It’s our highest priority to continue the level of service that (Ponte Vedra residents) are used to,” said Jennifer Ravan, assistant tax collector for St. Johns County. “When we chose our new location, safety and security were our main concern, as well as ample parking and the close proximity to our existing location.”

Though the new building will undergo renovations prior to the move, it is projected to be up and running within a year of the annex’s purchase.
