Parks & Recreation Department partners with University of St. Augustine on senior fitness program

The St. Johns County Parks & Recreation Department is partnering with the University of St. Augustine to conduct a free adult fitness program called “Fitness in the Park.”

The program is six weeks long and designed for individuals ages 60 and up. Fitness in the Park will run once a week with two sessions every Wednesday. The 1:30-2:30 p.m. session is geared towards seniors who would like more information on or who have diabetes or pre-diabetes. The 2:30-3:30 pm session is for all other senior participants.

Fitness in the Park runs Wednesday, Feb. 21 through Wednesday, March 28 at Canopy Shores Park at 804 Christina Drive in St. Augustine.
