Wilson recognized for service to Mercer University’s board

Jerry S. Wilson, a 1986 graduate of the Mercer University School of Business, where he earned his MBA in marketing, was recognized for completing a five-year term on the university’s board of trustees during its annual fall meeting Nov. 10 during homecoming.

Wilson spent 24 years at The Coca-Cola Co., serving from regional account executive to board-elected senior vice president. He founded an independent business consulting firm, started a commercial organic beverage company and has coached executives since his retirement.

Wilson served two five-year terms as a Mercer trustee and was chair of the board’s marketing committee. This year, he received Mercer’s Distinguished Alumnus Award, and he is a past recipient of the university’s Meritorious Service Award.

He and his wife, Ginny Wilson, a Mercer alumna, are life members of Mercer’s President’s Club.
