Month of festive Saturdays in Vilano Beach

Vilano Holiday Village fun starts Saturday, Dec. 2. Here’s the schedule.

SATURDAY, DEC. 2

Tree Lighting Celebration at the Vilano Beach Pier Roundabout. View the 18-foot-tall tree and watch it “come alive” with thousands of bright lights! The festive kickoff of the Vilano Holiday Village will include appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus and live music. Admission is free.

Here’s the lineup:

• 4-6 p.m. Live music by Rick’s Band
• 6-6:30 p.m. Tree Lighting Celebration and caroling — Vilano Beach Pier Roundabout
• 6-8 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus appearance 

SATURDAY, DEC. 9

Author Book Fair Extravaganza: Vilano Road will be lined with a variety of authors for meet-and-greets. 

“The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition” featured author Carol Aebersold will read to the group and 

be available for a book signing. All are welcome to bring to their own copy of the “Elf on the Shelf” book or can purchase them at Metalartz Gallery. Book proceeds will go to a local children’s charity. Admission is free.

Here’s the lineup:

3-6:30 p.m. Authors along Vilano Road for Book Fair

4-6 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus Appearance at The Patio at Holiday Inn Express

6-7 p.m.  “Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition” author at Holiday Inn Express  

7-8:30 p.m. Christmas Movie Night: “Elf” at Vilano Main Street Diner at Holiday Inn Express. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite pajamas!

SATURDAY, DEC. 16

Vilano Holiday Village Christmas Artisan Market: The perfect time to get unique and local holiday gifts in just one place. Meet local artisans who will offer the perfect gifts for that special someone.

Jeremy Weinglass has amassed more than 30 years of experience as a professional musician and composer with an expansive repertoire of classical, standards, musicals, rock and pop. Admission is free.

• 4-8 p.m. Artisans along Vilano Road
• 4-7 p.m. Jeremy Weinglass at The Patio at Holiday Inn Express

SATURDAY, DEC. 23

Cirque Adventure’s high-flying Elf Circus is coming to town! This aerial and acrobatic show is performed to favorite holiday tunes. There will be aerialists flying high in the air, acrobats flipping and tumbling everywhere. There will be three (30 minute) performances. St Johns County Fire and Rescue Department will showcase emergency vehicles at the event, with the opportunity to get up close and learn more about the local emergency responder. Admission is free.

• 1-1:30, 2-2:30 and 3-3:30 p.m. Elf Circus
• 1-3 p.m. St Johns County Fire and Rescue Department — Emergency Vehicles 
• 4-6 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus appearance at The Patio at Holiday Inn Express
