Action News Jacksonville meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh stopped by the Bolles Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus on Oct. 10 to speak with grade three students about what it takes to become a meteorologist.

Students listened excitedly to Bedenbaugh’s presentation, in which he discussed the different career paths of those who study meteorology and said he knew he wanted to become a meteorologist when he was in third grade. Bedenbaugh also gave the Bulldogs insight into what a day in the life of an on-air forecaster looks like, from reading and interpreting data to delivering information to audiences using a green screen.

Ponte Vedra Beach Head Stacey Hendershot joined lower school teachers Amy Coles ’98 and Pam Ganiel for his visit. Forecast says sunny skies for future meteorologists in attendance!
