We’re excited to be celebrating the Ponte Vedra Recorder’s 49th anniversary on Nov. 7.

Since 1969, the Recorder has been Ponte Vedra’s paper of record and has reported on the news that is most important to you and your families. With consistent coverage on local government, business, education, religion, healthcare, lifestyle and everything in between, we’re proud the Recorder is an award-winning paper that residents can open every Thursday morning for reliable, thoughtful and original reporting and insight.

In recognition of the occasion, we’re including a special anniversary section in the Nov. 8 edition of the Recorder, and we’re asking for your help. Do you have any old Recorder articles, photos or editions that hold a special place in your heart? Maybe it’s an old photo of your son or daughter winning that science fair in fifth grade? Or maybe it’s an article on your business opening many years back? Whatever it is, we want to see it and share in your nostalgia.

Please bring any keepsakes/submissions by our office at 1102 A1A North, Unit 108, in Ponte Vedra Beach or email them to me at jonb@opcfla.com. We’ll plan to include your submissions in the section to reflect on our long-standing commitment to Ponte Vedra and your particular contribution to the community. The deadline for submissions is Monday, Nov. 5 at noon.

As always, thank you for reading and for your continued support. We wouldn’t have made it to 49 without you!
