Margarita J’Ville brought nearly 250 guests to One Ocean Resort & Spa in Atlantic Beach Saturday, Nov. 18, raising $100,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida (BBBSNEFL).

Presented by Sauza Tequila, the event featured an island-inspired menu, unlimited margaritas, signature drinks, raffles and live and silent auctions. Live music, courtesy of South City Live, kept attendees dancing on the Verandina—an outside patio decorated with a full tiki bar, an oversized flamingo and tiki torches.

Margarita J’Ville was created in 2004 by former BBBSNEFL CEO Warren Grymes, who hosted the event each year through 2010. Grymes recently lost a long battle with kidney cancer, and during this year’s program, his widow Cheryl Grymes took time to thank guests for honoring his legacy.

“I know Warren would have been proud to see all of you here and to see what we’ve done with Margarita J’Ville,” she said. “As you know, this is an event he loved and treasured, and I’m so happy to look out and see many of Warren’s closest friends and family here to celebrate and honor all he’s meant to Big Brothers Big Sisters.”
