The Jacksonville Symphony will show Frank Capra's classic film "It's a Wonderful Life" with the score played live to picture on Friday, Dec. 22 at the Times-Union Center's Jacoby Symphony Hall.
Conductor Jeffrey Schindler will lead the symphony. Schindler has enjoyed an international career that took him from concert podiums around the world to the scoring stages of Hollywood, to the recording studios of London. Whether leading symphonic works of the Masters, multi-million-dollar film scores or contemporary and commercial music, Schindler’s musical storytelling is a hallmark of every performance, according to the Jacksonville Symphony.
Roger Ebert once referred to "It's a Wonderful Life" as a film that can be "viewed an indefinite number of times." The movie celebrated its 70th anniversary last year.
