Hurricane Irma debris collection commences in St. Johns County

St. Johns County initialized the Hurricane Irma debris collection program Tuesday, Sept. 12. Storm-related debris, including branches, limbs, brush, leaves and routine yard waste, will start to be collected in the coming days.

The county announced that damage assessment is underway, debris collection sites have been identified and collection resources have been secured. Residents can move storm debris curbside until cleanup is complete, as contractors will make multiple passes through neighborhoods.
