Holiday event gives back to veterans

The Holiday for Giving Back to Homeless Veterans at the Clara White Mission in Jacksonville was held on Dec 22. The day was set aside during the Christmas season to give back to veterans in appreciation for their service defending freedom around the world. The veterans enjoyed festive banquets, gifts, games and raffles with community volunteers, other Northeast Florida veterans and the Clara White Mission Veterans Team.

The event was made possible by a donation from the VyStar Credit Union and gifts from the We Can Be Heroes Foundation, U.S. Navy VUP-19, Warriors and Whiskey, Miss Senior Diva of Jacksonville, Household of Faith Church and the Clara White Mission.
