Halloween Express to depart Oct. 27

Kids of all ages are welcome to enjoy a monster competition to determine who is the most fun monster of all on the Halloween Express, running Oct. 27 at 1000 Osborne St. in St. Marys, GA.

As passengers ride the rails through woodlands and marshlands on the way to the Monster Ball, Halloween entertainment will abound. At the midway, the real showdown comes alive when Dracula and his friends vie for a place in the Monster Hall of Fame. Train passengers will cast the deciding vote to see who gets to reign over the train on the return trip.

“On the Halloween Express, we go back in time and reclaim the traditions of yesteryear,” said Barbara Ryan, entertainment director for St. Marys Express. “As usual, we expect an early sell-out for these excursions. The Halloween Express has always been one of our most popular events with children and adults.”

Ryan noted that the Halloween Express monsters will be more comical than scary, and the good witch will have everyone cheering as she gets the best of the bad witch in a fun way to celebrate Halloween.

Train passengers can also enjoy free admission to the St. Marys Railroad Museum at the train station.

The Halloween Express departs from Theatre by the Trax at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. For more information, visit www.stmarysrailroad.com or call (912) 200-5235.
