The Guy Harvey Outpost Resort, nearing completion in St. Augustine Beach, is hosting its inaugural Pups N Sups Surfing Contest Saturday, Nov. 11 to benefit K9s for Warriors.
The event kicks off at 8 am at the resort, located oceanside at 860 AIA Beach Blvd. Kevin DeNell, executive vice-president of Guy Harvey Outpost Resorts, said they’re proud to support such a worthy cause.
“We have three weight divisions, and each ‘PAW-ticipant’ will be judged on surfing style and skill under the watchful eyes of staff from our event’s other partners, local businesses Surf Station and Faux Paws,” he explaind.
Carrie Bennett of K9s for Warriors said it will be special event on a special day.
“It’s rewarding to have folks coming from as far as South Carolina to show their support for our cause,” she said. “In our books, these pups and their owners already have a lot to brag about, regardless of who emerges as the big dog of the day.”
