Fourth suspect arrested in connection to 2017 Ponte Vedra Beach home invasion

Detectives from the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office (SJSO) recently arrested Nigel Sabb, a 22-year-old from Jacksonville who is the fourth suspect in connection to a home invasion robbery that took place in Ponte Vedra Beach in 2017.

He is facing charges of false imprisonment, home invasion robbery with a firearm or deadly weapon, sexual battery and grand theft of a motor vehicle.

The arrest report states that Sabb acted in concert with three additional perpetrators who entered a private residence, held victims at gunpoint and stole property including clothing, computers, cellular telephones, jewelry, approximately $1,800, various prescription medications and other miscellaneous items. The report also revealed that the perpetrators held three victims against their will with a rope before fleeing the scene. During the home invasion, said SJSO, Sabb allegedly committed sexual battery on a female victim at gunpoint.

According to the arrest report, one of the victims identified Sabb in a photo he found posted to Facebook.
