Gary Jurenovich

Submitted by the candidate

Gary Jurenovich is a 34-year resident of the Ponte Vedra Beach Municipal Service District (MSD). He is running for reelection to serve a second term as a trustee on the MSD Board. Jurenovich, his wife Ann and son Eric enjoy the beautiful community that they live in.

Jurenovich is a business owner in St Johns County where he owns and operates a home healthcare agency. He is currently the chairman of the MSD Board of Trustees and has served as a trustee previously from 2004 to 2012. He was elected to his current term in 2014. Jurenovich has served the MSD community for 12 years as a trustee, six years as chairman, two years as vice chairman and four years as treasurer.

Just a few of the many projects Jurenovich started and completed while serving as an MSD trustee include new bridges at Lake Road, Rutile Drive and Pablo Road and helping residents to improve the recent bridge crossing on Corona Road over the lagoon. His efforts have also included the placing of utilities underground and the removal of overhead telephone poles on Solana Road, San Juan Drive, Corona Road and Ponte Vedra Boulevard. He has also worked with a group of residents to construct a sidewalk on Ponte Vedra Boulevard from Corona Road to Mickler’s.

Jurenovich has been the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office MSD liaison for eight years and is a 2017 graduate of the SJCSO Civilian Law Enforcement Academy. He has been responsible for all street signs and poles for the past 14 years and recently completed a three-year project to install all new street signs and poles within the MSD. Jurenovich has been past committee chair for JEA, Beaches Energy and Road and Bridge.

Jurenovich believes that community service is a small price to pay for the privilege of living in such a nice place.
