Cypress Village residents thank Station 59

The Healthcare Committee at Cypress Village recently wanted to show support for all the work and service provided by first responders at Station 59. Each shift was provided with special baskets with all their favorites, each handmade by one of the committee members.

When asked why the residents went out of their way to do this small gift for the station, Wendy Griffith replied, “Because the first responders of Station 59 provide prompt and compassionate service to the residents at Cypress Village, we wanted them to know we appreciate them. The members of the Healthcare Committee made up baskets with snacks to tell the EMTs thank you.”

The baskets contained things like crackers, cheese, fresh fruit, candy and other snacks and were decorated with a bow. The management of Cypress Village was thrilled to support such a giving initiative and supplied the funds for the expenses. They delivered the baskets to each of the three shifts during the week of May 21 to thank first responders.

Cypress Village is a retirement care community located adjacent to the Mayo Clinic. Cypress Village has homes and apartments on a 120-acre campus.
