Summer arts camps and workshops for ages 4-5, 6-8 and 9-14 will take place on a weekly basis at The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach between June 4 and Aug. 3.
The Mini Creators camp for ages 4-5 will run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Youth Arts Camps for ages 6-8 and Artist Academy for ages 9-14 will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Professional artists and arts instructors will lead each age group through fun arts activities to develop creativity and grow as an artist. The Artist Academy will focus on a single medium or style each week. Focuses will include portraits, ceramics and expressionism. The younger age groups will spend each day creating with a wide variety of styles and mediums, connected by a fun, kid-friendly theme, such as “All About Animals” or “Recycled Art.”
Alhambra Theatre Camps are another popular option and are offered through a partnership of The Cultural Center and Alhambra Theatre & Dining. This two-week camp will end with a performance and dinner, so the young actors can show off what they've learned.
Age groups of 9-12 will perform June 18-29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and age groups 13-16 will perform July 9-20 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. This year, actors and actresses will be performing the musical “Don't Stop Believin.’”
