Cracker Collective to perform

Posted

Doug Spears’ Cracker Collective will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 21 at Beluthahatchee. The performance will be outside, weather permitting.

No reservations are required, though there is a $10 suggested donation per person.
A fifth generation Florida native, Doug Spears’ stories and award-winning songs have been welcomed in listening rooms, house concerts and concert venues across the country for more than 30 years. An established regular at Florida’s folk and acoustic music festivals, his Americana/folk sound has been distributed and heard on independent radio across the U.S., Canada, Australia and Europe.

The Cracker Collective is the product of decades of friendship and music collaboration between home-grown Florida talents, all of whom are mainstays of the Florida folk and acoustic music community. Joining Spears in the Collective are Lon and Lis Williamson, musical partners for more than 40 years in St. Augustine, and Ron and Bari Litschauer from West Palm Beach, who have likewise been on a 40-plus-year musical adventure together.

This collaboration uses Spears’ original tunes as the canvas for eloquent harmonies, clean, tightly performed arrangements and musical stage craft honed by decades of experience. Above all else it is five dear friends having one heck of a good time doing what they love. You’re going to like what you hear.
