Ges Selmont, a Democratic candidate for Congress in Florida’s 4th District, is holding a fundraising concert on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall that will feature a performance by Nashville country music recording artist and entertainer Trey Taylor.

At the Concert for Unity event, Taylor will be performing his critically acclaimed “An Intimate Evening with Trey Taylor: LIVE IN CONCERT.” Taylor is the youngest African-American man in country music history. The Denver Post said about him: “It's impossible to miss his enthusiasm. With a fondness for cowboy boots, gaudy colors and dazzling jewelry, Trey Taylor could stand toe to toe with any of the pop, country or even rap contemporaries of his generation and give each of them a good run for their money, a fact that hasn't been lost on audiences across the world.”

Jacksonville resident Mike Bernos and his band, Ample Angst, will open the show. General admission ticket prices are $20.18 and can be purchased at www.selmontforcongress.com. VIP tickets, including two drink tickets and a meet-and-greet opportunity with Taylor, are $150. The concert starts at 7 p.m.

Selmont is a Ponte Vedra Beach husband and father with a background in law, technology, entertainment, sports and higher education. He has been married to his wife, Monika (also an attorney), for 17 years. They chose Northeast Florida to raise their two boys, Nate and Luke, and have called the First Coast home for almost nine years.
