Coleman, who reports to Betty Griffin Center CEO Joyce Mahr, will be responsible for office management, board support and other administrative support functions at the center. She was most recently an administrative assistant at the North East Florida Educational Consortium in Palatka, where she was responsible for assisting specialists, coordinators and administrators involved with the Florida Diagnostic & Learning Resources System network, including districts, associate centers and the Florida Department of Education/Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services. Previously, she was a payroll specialist with CDI and served as an office manager for the Early Learning Coalition of North Florida for more than eight years.

Prior to those roles, Coleman also worked in administrative positions with several public agencies in North Florida, including Child Care Resources, the Putnam County Health Department and the Department of Children and Families. She received an associate degree in computer science from ITT Technical Institute in Tucson, Arizona; however, she has spent most of her working career in an administrative capacity.
