Coastal Mobile Medical Care’s goal: convenience

Posted

In the not-so-distant past, it was completely normal and expected that medical practitioners made house calls to their patients. Care was rendered at the bedside or on a job site, without moving or transporting the patient. Coastal Mobile Medical Care recognizes the value of offering urgent, preventative and wellness care services in the comfort of one’s home or office. Their new mobile medical care service does just that, from Neptune Beach south to Nocatee, Jacksonville Beach west to the St. Johns Town Center and southwest to Durbin Crossing as well as the San Marco and Mandarin areas.

“Who wants to go anywhere when you’re feeling under the weather?” said Jarica Thigpen, co-owner and physician assistant. “If you or your child or other family member are sick, it’s really better for them to remain where they are comfortable. With our mobile medical services, we do the traveling. It’s so practical for anyone sick, busy or just looking to care for their health. At-home care is especially convenient for those with children – going to urgent care can be stressful for a child that’s already not feeling great. Instead, they’re in their safe space and we can join them there.”

Coastal Mobile Medical Care specializes in providing one-on-one medical care in the comfort of the home or office. When you schedule a home visit, one of their providers will give you a call to learn more about symptoms and complaints. Then within 30 minutes, the provider arrives at the patient’s home or office for care. Their mobile medical services cover various ailments, including fever, cold, infection, RSV and vomiting, minor injuries and cuts, physical exams, sports physicals and wellness treatments like IV therapy and vitamin injections. They also offer separate telemedicine visits for easier-to-treat conditions that don’t require in-person care.

“Our IV therapy is wonderful for replenishing vital nutrients after an illness or as a preventative measure,” said Robyn Reaves, co-owner and nurse practitioner. “We offer a wide range of IV therapies that can help fight dehydration, headaches, stomach bugs and low energy. We also just kicked off an employer membership program for small businesses that can’t quite afford health insurance for its employees but want to offer a great supplemental health care option. Our providers offer concierge urgent care visits, telemedicine visits and annual wellness assessments to help keep your employees healthy.”
