Chemo Noir, a local nonprofit that provides financial support for cancer patients undergoing treatment, raised an estimated $10,000 at its annual fall gala fundraising event on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 3 Palms Grille in Ponte Vedra Beach.

The event featured a DJ, food and wine tasting, a silent auction, an open area for guests to dance and mingle, a full bar, hors d'oeuvres and more. Chemo Noir recipients who have been financially impacted by the nonprofit were in attendance.

Chemo Noir raises money through wine-centric events to help cancer patients offset the out-of-pocket medical costs of fighting cancer. Casey, a Nease graduate, founded the organization after beating cancer herself. Cancer-free for the last four years, Casey named her organization after a night designated for leisure time with her mother, featuring comfort food and wine.
