Wolfson Children’s Hospital and the C. Herman and Mary Virginia Terry Heart Institute continue to expand children’s heart services across Northeast Florida with the addition of pediatric interventional cardiologist Ram Bishnoi, M.D.

Bishnoi is double board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics. His areas of expertise include pediatric interventional cardiology, pulmonary hypertension and inpatient and post-operative care. As a pediatric interventional cardiologist, Bishnoi is trained to perform specific minimally invasive catheter-based treatments for heart conditions.

At the Terry Heart Institute, Bishnoi will establish a pediatric pulmonary hypertension program and work closely with our neonatology team to optimize the care of the most vulnerable patients. He will also deliver multi-disciplinary care to patients recovering from cardiac surgery and interventions at Wolfson Children’s Hospital.

Before moving to Jacksonville, Bishnoi served as the director of inpatient cardiology at Geisinger Janet Weis Children's Hospital in Danville, Pennsylvania, and as a pediatric interventional cardiologist with Geisinger Medical Center.

“Dr. Bishnoi has trained at some of the top medical institutions in the United States and India and he is amongst a select group of pediatric cardiologists who have received advanced fellowship training in interventional cardiology,” said Rajesh Shenoy, M.D., medical director of pediatric cardiology for Wolfson Children’s Terry Heart Institute. “His expertise in the management of critical congenital heart disease catheter-based techniques will supplement the top-notch care that is already provided in the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Wolfson Children’s Hospital.”

Bishnoi received his medical degree from Sardar Patel Medical College in Bikaner, India. He completed pediatric residencies at both Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He also completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, and a pediatric interventional cardiology fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

Note that physicians providing care at Wolfson Children’s Hospital are not employees or agents of the hospital.
