Bogey Grille to host 7th annual MS Silent Auction March 11

Posted

National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Awareness Week will be launched locally on Monday, March 11, at Bogey Grille in Ponte Vedra Beach, with the seventh annual MS silent auction. To be held from 6 to 9 p.m., the event is free and open to the public.

Beaches and Nocatee businesses have donated more than 200 items to help support the event, which raises more than $20,000 each year to provide programs, services and research to the more than 18,000 North Floridians impacted by the disease.

All proceeds from the event, which features trips and excursions, vacations, restaurants, merchandise, jewelry and art and professional services, benefit the North Florida Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. In addition, Bogey Grille donates a percentage of food and beverage sales to MS.

Items in the auction are coming from Kudos Massage, Desserts for Donations, Espling Jewelers, Sliders, Ragtime, Pusser's, North Guana Outpost, Salt Life, Metro Diner, Total Wine, Beach Diner, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Whiskey Jax, Gregory's Jewelry, Sawgrass Marriott, Hilton Garden Inn, The Ponte Vedra Recorder, The Loop and 9 to 5 Pets. Vacations include trips to Pinehurst, North Carolina and Amelia Island. In addition to the auction, there will be a 50/50 drawing.

Backers of the event are members of the local 35-person Bike MS Big Banana bicycle team, who this year will surpass $1 million in fundraising for the organization. The team was formed in 2010.
