Blue Wave Coalition Beach Bash celebrates support of Democratic candidates

First Coast Democrats in the “Blue Wave Coalition,” a consortium of 10 progressive groups including the Ponte Vedra Democratic Club, Ponte Vedra United for Progress (PVUP), First Coast Progressive Women, the Women’s March, Indivisible and more joined together for a night of fun, food, auctioneering and dancing at the Plantation Beach Club on Aug. 25, to celebrate their work over the past few months in supporting local and national Democratic candidates.  

During the evening, the audience also held a moment of silence in honor of the passing of Sen. John McCain.

The event was hosted by U.S. Democratic Congressional candidate Ges Selmont and brought together more than 100 progressives eager to continue their efforts to the November mid-term election and beyond.
