The Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library will host its bi-annual book sale March 13-17 at the Ponte Vedra Library.
Proceeds from the book sale will support the following:
· More materials for all ages, including multiple formats (print, audiobook, e-book) of youth award list titles such as ALA Youth Media Awards (Caldecott, Newbery, etc.), Sunshine State Young Readers Award Juniors (grades K–2), SSYRAs for grades 3-5 and grades 6-8, Florida Teens Read (grades 9-12) and Florida Readers Association Children’s Book Award (pre-K – grade two).
· Special programming such as the Musical Madness for Kids series with the Jacksonville Symphony, Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants events, gaming events for teens, magic shows, St. Johns Reads and more.
· Special spaces for youth through the purchase of furniture, display units, checkers/chess tables, early literacy station computers, repainting, Lego/train/puzzle tables, board games and more.
· Longtime popular series for adults presented by the Friends such as the Gerson Yessin Music Series, Adventures in the Arts series, Book Talk Café series and Ponte Vedra Forum series.
The library will host a preview sale for Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library members March 13 featuring hors d'oeuvres, wine and access to the book sale before everyone else. For more information, call (904) 827-6950. The Ponte Vedra Beach Library is located at 101 Library Blvd.
