Beaches Hebrew School welcomes new students

The Beaches Hebrew School, run by Chabad at the Beaches, is now welcoming new students, and no synagogue membership is necessary to enroll.

Hebrew School students enjoy a hands-on program designed to help them learn about their heritage, and the land of Israel, in a creative and fun atmosphere.

The school takes place in a friendly environment aimed at encouraging students to embrace their Jewish roots. Through Hebrew reading, writing, Jewish history, holidays and more, students will gain an appreciation for the joys, values and tradition of Jewish culture as it is brought to life by dedicated teachers.

“Our school’s underlying approach is for the children to enjoy the time spent at Hebrew School so they are left with positive experiences," said Leah Kurinsky, director of the Beaches Hebrew School, "and associate Judaism with positivity for the rest of their lives.”

The program is carefully blended with games, incentives, crafts, dramatics, family celebration and other extracurricular activities.

The Hebrew School, housed at Chabad Center for Jewish Life, will begin Sunday, Aug. 26. Classes are held Sundays from 9:45 to 11:45 a.m. and are offered for children ages 5 to 13.
