Baptist Health heart program recognized

Baptist Health was named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2023 list of “100 hospitals and health systems with great heart programs.”

According to Becker’s, the programs on the list “are renowned for their exemplary heart care, patient outcomes and leading technologies. Most also perform research that leads to innovative breakthroughs in the field of cardiology.”

Baptist Health is a leader in cardiovascular services in the region. Highlights of the program include:

  • Home to the area’s only freestanding center for heart and vascular care, Baptist Heart Hospital
  • Recently awarded the highest rating for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) procedures from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons
  • Over 40 board-certified cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons throughout the region to make access to care easy for patients
  • A new facility dedicated specifically to the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders, like Afib
  • The highest volume structural heart program in the region
  • 34 open cardiovascular clinical trials to bring the latest innovations and treatment options to patients as early as possible

To select programs for the highly regarded list, the Becker’s team assessed rankings and awards from reputable organizations such as U.S. News & World Report, Healthgrades, CMS, The Leapfrog Group and more. The team also accepted nominations for this list.
